“Waldsee Raunheim” is the venue for the swim portion of the Sparkassen Finanzgruppe Ironman 70.3 European Championship. The lake is located 10k south-east from Wiesbaden downtown.

Shuttle busse will be provided for athletes to the swim start on sunday morning. The race will be started with a beach start. Race time is 8:00am for the first wave. Spectators can watch the start and the entire swim from the beaches around the lake.

The swim course distance is 1,9k and after the first lap there is a land section of 60 feet before entering the water again for the final lap.
